3. Warren Gamaliel Harding
Ask anyone who the 29th President of the United States was, and you will find no one even remembers who Warren Gamaliel Harding was. He is regarded by many as the worst Republican President to hold office, and his reputations seems to get worse as the years pass. His presidency was marked with scandal and corruption, rivaled only by Watergate years later. The reason Harding has left such a sour taste with Americans, it was because two members of Harding’s cabinet were implicated in major corruption cases. Harding’s Attorney General Harry Daugherty and his Interior Secretary Albert Fall both were fond guilty of crimes. These scandals didn’t fully emerge until after Warren Harding’s death, neither did word of all his extramarital affairs, both instances greatly damaged Harding’s reputation as a president.
